Terms of Use and Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Torq (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. Torq is an automotive and mobility community app (Progressive Web App).

2. Purpose of the Service

Torq is a social app for automotive and mobility enthusiasts. It lets you create a profile, share content related to vehicles and mobility, connect with others in the community, and use location-based features (e.g. feed by country or region). Use of the Service must be consistent with this purpose and with these Terms.

3. Tiered Access and Usage Limits

Access, storage, and active-sale limits depend on your account tier:

  • Tier 1 Free - 1 garage, up to 3 vehicles, no sales.
  • Tier 2 Private seller - 1 garage, up to 5 vehicles, up to 2 active sale listings.
  • Tier 3 Enthusiast - unlimited garages and vehicles, up to 5 active sale listings.
  • Tier 4 Dealer - unlimited garages and vehicles, unlimited active sale listings.
  • Tier 5 Commercial - business profile with unlimited garages and vehicles, up to 5 active sale listings.
  • Tier 5 Service center - booking profile with unlimited garages and vehicles, up to 5 active sale listings.
  • Tier 5 Parts dealer - adverts/store profile with unlimited garages and vehicles, up to 5 active sale listings.

Paid tier pricing is currently set as: Tier 2 EUR 15/year, Tier 3 EUR 20/year, Tier 4 EUR 40/year, Tier 5 EUR 20/year. All paid tiers include 2 months free on annual billing.

Current rollout uses a free-trial cutoff of 1 Mar 2027 before paid tier promotion.

We may change tier features or limits with reasonable notice where required by law. Your use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

4. Account and Conduct

You must provide accurate information when you sign up (including email and location where we ask for it). You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You may not use the Service to break the law, harass others, spam, or upload malicious content. Content that violates these rules or our guidelines may be removed, and accounts may be suspended or banned. You can report content that you believe violates our rules; we will review and act as appropriate.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service (software, design, and our branding) is owned by us or our licensors. You keep ownership of content you post; by posting, you grant us a license to use, display, and store it as needed to operate the Service. You may not scrape, resell, or misuse the Service or content in a way that violates these Terms or the law.

6. Limitation of Liability and No Warranty

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect only what is necessary to run the Service (e.g. account data, location for feed and discovery). By using the Service you agree to that policy.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which we operate. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
